Hail Thee, Festival Day!

A glorious Easter Day here in south Louisiana!  The entire Holy Week has been a fabulous experience, especially with a new rector on board at Trinity Church in Baton Rouge!  Today found us at the glorious Easter Day service, and afterwards, hosting our family here in our home.  Pictures of the church and the dessert follow!

And here is the #2 assistant, Midnight, the Magical Cat, after everyone had departed.  I just know I heard him saying, "Please, sir,...may I have...MORE?"  Shortly thereafter, I heard the orchestra strike up 'Food, Glorious Food!' from the musical OLIVER!  Or, maybe I've just been in overdrive this week and am hearing things; or, maybe...not!

An Easter Table

After a fabulous Holy Week at Trinity Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, the stage is now set for a joyous FESTIVAL DAY on Sunday (one of my fave hymns:  Hail Thee Festival Day!). We've taken the easy way out this year and have a  ham on reserve at our retailer just down the road!  All of the side dishes are made; the only thing to do is heat the ham, heat the casseroles, the rolls, and make the butter curls!  Much more laid back than Christmas, for some reason!  The table is already set, and we are ready!  The Headmaster and I will be singing the Easter Vigil tomorrow night, as well as the main Easter service on Sunday.  It has truly been a wonderful Holy Week.  God bless all of you!
