About Me

Since I began this adventure, I have serendipitously stumbled upon some of the most beautiful blogs from very, very talented people. They have inspired me, as I try in a small way to make my home more inviting. Many have, also, abetted my addiction to collecting beautiful plates; that, then, has led to tablescaping, though I am quite a novice.

In 2007 I retired as a middle school principal in my school district. The Headmaster and I split our time between Louisiana and Wisconsin, where our homes are located. We have seven children between us, eight grandchildren, and one great granchild! We love to travel, and we love enjoying the beautiful Door County peninsula in any season!

  3. Nancy, thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment. You asked how I got my wreath to hang on the mirror....it is hung from a nail above the mirror with a thin (but strong) silver wire. I am a new blogger, April 2012. I also love to do tablescapes with mismatched dishes. I see that you are a retired school principal..I retired from the State of New Mexico, Budget and Finance. We have lots in common and it is so nice to meet you! You have a beautiful blog and I am now following on GF. Hugs, Penny
