On a beautiful morning in northeast Wisconsin, I decided to set a table under our very old and very large apple tree.
Here at our Wisconsin house/cottage, I have very little in the way of good china, but this set that I do have, with its rich jewel-tone colors, simply screams fall to me!
I took the
really cheap and ugly old round table from the deck, hauled it out to the side yard, and covered it with a drop cloth. Apples were literally falling all around me as I set up the table! Instant table decor!
Aside from the colors, one reason I like this china is the ability to go monochromatic...
...or mix the colors (which is what I prefer)!
The runner has all the colors of the china (a happy coincidence)!
The centerpiece is a bunch of in-the-process-of-drying hydrangeas that I managed to save (there were lots of blossoms this year, but so little rain). The colors are so pretty, even as they dry.
You are welcome to come by and sit under the apple tree; we'd love to have you!
